Jumping into Blogging

I have been contemplating creating a blog for over a year now and have decided that today is the day to finally take the plunge. As the year comes to an end, I think that now is the perfect time to reflect on all that I have learned and embarked on in my journey of growing with educational technology.

As I write this blog dedicated to blended learning, I can't help but reflect on my how use to be the teacher who didn't see how technology was necessary when it came to teaching. Now I can't see how I can live without my Chromebooks and wifi. Embarking on my journey of educational technology has truly transformed my teaching. Technology has allowed me to expand my classroom beyond its four walls. It has allowed me to create an environment where my students can be empowered to become the experts of their learning.

While I don't know what the future holds, I am excited to continue to grow as a facilitator of 21st Century learning. Although it has been challenging when faced with the obstacles of mandated curriculums that go against the pillars of personalized learning, I will continue to push on because THIS WORK MATTERS!
