INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY

Some of my Favorite Tools

Check out a few of the ways that I use technology on a daily basis with my students.

iMovie

IMovie is a great app that can provide teachers with an alternative method for formative assessments. iMovie is my favorite tool to allow students to create videos to "show" what they have learned about a concept.

Notebooks

Google Classroom is my go to tool to organize my digital classroom.  My students use it as a digital notebook to receive and turn in assignments.  I also use it to provide them with immediate feedback on their work while they work.

Group Discussion

Padlet and Let's Recap are two tools that I love for creating virtual discussions.  I use them as backchannels that students can use to post their thoughts as class progresses.  I love these tools because they allow my most quiet students to have a voice.

Male and female students doing schoolwork

Hyperdocs are one of my favorite ways of creating digital learning for my students.  I use them regularly  to curate resources to incorporate out of class and in-class flips, tutorial videos, and student choice in instruction.
